An architect doesn't hand over a floor plan and walk away.
They think functionality before aesthetics, and sustainability before either: what holds up structurally, and what still works five years after the ribbon-cutting. We build the same way. Before a line of code gets written, we've already asked what happens when this breaks, who's accountable when it does, and what happens to your operation if the next developer can't figure out what we built.
Most software gets shipped by people who've never had to answer those questions. We were trained to ask them first.

Scope comes before code.
We don't take a feature request at face value. Most requests are a client's best guess at a solution, not the actual problem. So, before anything is scoped, we find the problem underneath it.
Once scope is fixed, price is fixed with it. No hourly billing, no invoice creep, no "that'll be a change order" surprise halfway through. Change orders exist, but they're written and agreed before work starts, not discovered after.

The part you don't see is the part that matters after the handover.
Proper authentication. Data protected at the database level, not just the interface. A staging environment, so nothing gets tested on your live product. A real test suite, so a change we make in month six doesn't quietly break something we shipped in month one.
This is the unglamorous half of the work, and it's also the half that decides whether what you paid for still runs cleanly a year from now, long after the demo has been forgotten.

The paperwork protects you, not just us.
Every contract is signed by Teeman LLC, a Delaware entity for international engagements, a CAC-registered entity for work in Nigeria, not by an individual. That's what makes the agreement enforceable if something goes wrong, for either side.
Code built specifically for your project is yours on final payment. In writing, before work begins. Not something we hold over you later. Handoff is a checkpoint, not a goodbye.
Every project closes with a 30-day warranty on defects, full documentation, and a walkthrough of what we built and where the controls are. Not because we expect you'll need us again, but because you should understand what you own, not depend on us to explain it every time you open the admin panel.
